Jonas Godwin

Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Jonas Godwin began his ballet training at age nine at the
Academy of Ballet Arts. He went on to dance with Charlotte Ballet II and Cleveland Ballet
before joining Carolina Ballet in 2021. His performance experience spans classical and
contemporary works, with roles including the Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Ali in Le Corsaire,
and Basilio and Espada in Don Quixote. 
A passionate dancer and teacher, he loves sharing his knowledge of ballet with others and is
delighted to join Ballet North Carolina for its inaugural season.
